It was late 2017 when the Renegades were last looking to break new ground in the Call of Duty scene. Today, we are proud to announce a return to the esport with our new 2020 roster consisting ofLincoln “Fighta” Ferguson,Daniel “Swifty” Hickey,Jayden “Setzy” Hewitt,Amer “Pred” Zulbeari&Kerrin “Crimzah” Turner!
“Our ultimate goal for 2020 is to continue to be one of the best Call of Duty Challenger teams whilst also developing the growth of our fan base under the Renegades organisation.”- Lincoln “Fighta” Ferguson
The most dominant APAC challenger team through the bulk of 2019, the core squad under Mindfreak blasted their way through the Oceanic region - 16 event wins including local LAN events through to international Opens qualifiers cemented them as true challengers in the Black Ops 4 season.
The peak of the season for the boys came at both Anaheim & London, with the lineup taking out both CWL Open events with a remarkable 12-2 record across both events in grand finals. Following CWL Amateur Finals in Miami, long-time core members Shockz & Louqa departed the roster with both securing spots in CDL franchise Paris Legion.
This opened the door for the acquisition of dominant young guns Pred & Crimzah who, having recently turned 18, makes them eligible to compete in the Pro Circuit. In turn, the base core of Fighta, Swifty & Setzy combine for over 20 years of experience in the esport and show no signs of slowing down as the CDC approaches.
The boys have resumed the competitive season strongly in Oceania, securing consecutive wins in the GameBattle Challenger Series in Australia, and are currently bootcamping abroad ahead of their first international event of the calendar year at the Call of Duty Launch Weekend in Minneapolis on January 24.
