Renegades CSGO A New Era

Posted by Renegades esports on

The Renegades are excited to announce their return to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive following the acquisition of Christopher ‘dexter’ Nong, Oliver ‘DickStacy’ Tierney, Liam ‘malta’ Schembri, Simon ‘Sico’ Williams & Joshua ‘INS’ Potter from Grayhound Gaming.

Currently 20th on HLTV’s CS:GO rankings and affectionately known as “The Other Boys”, the Hounds have stamped their dominance in the Oceanic region over the last six months, holding a 15-2 record in Season 32 of OCE’s ESEA Premier & flawlessly qualifying for eXTREMESLAND Asia, OMEN Challenger Series and, most importantly, ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals in Odense.

While event date clashes restricted their qualification to the Mountain Dew League & attendance at eXTREMESLAND Finals, the boys made up for their absence at the OMEN Challenger Series. Topping their group 8-2 the Hounds went on to defeat Absolute & ALPHA Red in the playoffs to claim their first APAC trophy outside of 2019’s Berlin Asia Minor.

Internationally the boys are on their own Major streak, with StarLadder Berlin their second straight Major attended following their first Asian Minor Championship win last September. Elsewhere the boys have cracked the world stage at ESL Pro League Season 9, IEM Shanghai and most recently at Dreamhack Masters Malmö, where the boys took down Evil Geniuses & Team Liquid on their way to a top eight finish.

The squad would not be complete without Grayhound’s very own William ‘Mistergrayhound’ Gray who will continue his stellar job in management and content for the CS:GO team here at RNG. We are thrilled to begin a new chapter at RNG in CS:GO and look forward to joining the boys as they continue their journey. Keep up to date with the boys’ journey as well as other news, content and more at Renegades on Twitter.
